Paul and Silas were escorted to the lowered dungeon, uncomfortable, in chains, mistreated, hurting and still probably bleeding from the beatings. One would expect them to be belligerent, angry, complaining but instead we find them singing and rejoicing. The name of this mighty weapon you may ask? Prayer: The act of conversing with God; the intercourse of the soul with God, not in contemplation or meditation, but in direct address to him. If it’s not the constant bombardment of the media focusing only on negativity, it’s the monotony of our daily life which causes many to forget this simple task at our fingertips.

Man is extensively ignorant of the evil that lurks within. We are not cognizant of all the dirt and filth and meanness that reside in our hearts; the supreme deceiver.

About a special man....

If we will abide in the Word, the Word will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go (Psalm 32:8). He will also guide us to pray according to His will and our prayers will have a guaranteed effect.

There must be balance to have both physical and spiritual fitness.

Imagine, for a second, if someone came up to you and said, all of your children, and their spouses and children were visiting each other, all in the same house, and the house collapsed and they are all dead. Can you even imagine that?

The command to live by faith can be kind of scary. It's like going into a black hole. How can you navigate blind? It is not talking about going without our physical senses.
